It was just yesterday that we reported that Ke$ha's "Die Young" was pulled from numerous radio stations following the Sandy Hooky Elementary tragedy in Newtown, Conn. And today, it's been revealed that Foster The People's "Pumped Up Kicks" is being taken off radio playlists, too, according to TMZ. Most notably, Los Angeles' KIIS-FM has pulled the single.

As frontman Mark Foster has noted, the song was somewhat inspired by the Columbine High School massacre in 1999. He stated that it was written as a means of shedding light on the horrific acts of gun violence that have shaken our country and its schools. As you likely know, the "Pumped Up Kicks" chorus features lyrics like, "All the other kids with the pumped up kicks/You better run, better run, faster than my bullet."
