40 More Albums That Were Unfairly Hated On

Masta Ace Incorporated Sittin' on Chrome (1995)

Masta Ace Incorporated-the collective led by Ace, and featuring Lord Digga, Leschea, and Paula Perry-received perhaps the strongest form of hate for their second release, Sittin' on Chrome. That's New York City hate, which rained down upon the crew when they dropped this album in 1995. An NYC hip-hop outfit that reps the city through and through going with a gangsta hip-hop sound embodied by the West Coast? That was a big, big no-no in the mid-'90s.

It was also a foolhardy one, though, because the album is a strong part of Ace's canon and worth its weight based on its title track and "Born to Roll" alone.
