Chris Brown is the latest artist to be profiled on MTV’s This Is How I Made It. In the 10-minute clip, Brown speaks on growing up in his small hometown in Virginia. He recalls the early days of singing, mimicking the movements of Prince and Michael Jackson to hopefully become a superstar just like them. The R&B singer also recounts performing for the first time in church and how his mother always motivated him to succeed. There are plenty of more gems on Brown’s inspiring story such as signing to Def Jam and impressing the audience at the 2007 VMAs above.
