In a time before ego split them up, the Diplomats gave any and all of their friends a microphone; the group was truly democratic in that sense. Jim Jones—the crew's video director and Co-CEO—suddenly became a rapper, and an important one at that.
Thankfully, much of the heavy lifting fell into the hands of Killa Cam, Juelz Santana, Just Blaze and the Heatmakerz. It's like what Kanye said about his own debut: "If [my] raps is wack at least we can throw Cam on every song and save the album."
