There’s been on ongoing feud on American Idol between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. Stevie Nicks, who appeared on the last season of Idol, was a coach for contestants. Although she’s not involved anymore, she does have a few words to say about the recent back and forth between the two superstars.
Simply put, Nicks is annoyed by it all. She says, “How dare this little girl! … If I had been Mariah I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there.”
She continued, “I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it.”
Many critics and former Idol contestants have said that Mariah and Nicki’s bitter showdown is part of a publicity stunt to boost interest in watching the show. Whether that’s the case or not, Nicks' words are sure to stir up more controversy. Also, she insisted that she’ll never judge a show like Idol.
“If you stick me in the middle of a burning fire,” she said. “I don’t think I’d like it very much.”
