In addition to teaching an upcoming college course at NYU on classic albums, Questlove is also lending his narrating talents to a documentary titled Finding The Funk that focuses on the origins and evolution of funk music. The doc is directed and produced by author/filmmaker Nelson George and executive produced by legendary record producer Arthur Baker, and artists such as Bootsy Collins, Sly Stone, D'Angelo, and more were interviewed for it.
Utilizing Kickstarter, the goal is to raise $20,000 (currently at $7,000) by November 9. Watch the video above for more about the doc, and you can read up on all the information and pledge your support here.
