A lawsuit filed against Sean "Diddy" Combs at the beginning of the year has now been dismissed only 10 months into the process.

Back in January, Empress Haircare Products filed suit against Diddy and his Sean John Clothing Company. According to a report by AllHipHop.com, Empress' lawsuit against the clothing company was dismissed with prejudice. This means that in most cases, a retrial is uncommon, which allows Sean John to use the Empress name without interference.

The original January lawsuit cited that representatives for Sean John approached Empress Haircare Products in order to clear a trademark for the Empress Line that Combs had hoped to market. When refused, Diddy decided to use the name anyway.
