Calvin Harris Turned Down Working With Lady Gaga

Harris says he was busy at the time.

None

Calvin Harris, the singer, songwriter and producer who penned Rihanna’s “We Found Love,” is ready to release his third LP, 18 Months. Harris went on BBC Breakfast earlier today to promote the album and talked about how his collaborations with huge stars came together.

Besides working with Florence Welch for “Sweet Nothing” and RiRi, another name that was brought up during the interview was Lady Gaga. When asked if he turned down Gaga, he explains that he was too busy at the time.

“You got to pick people whose songs or voice that you like,” he said. “And in that stage, it was before she was very big. But they sent me some songs and I didn’t really like the songs.”

Gaga caught wind of his comments and responded. Hopefully, this doesn’t escalate into anything more.

Seems to be trendy lately to talk shit about "lady gaga" when your albums/singles drop. Y'all should live off your own hustle. #Ido

UPDATE: Harris tweeted back to say it wasn't his intention to offend her.

@ladygaga no your label emailed me. I always make sure I say Im a fan when asked about it, I apologise if I offended u, wasn't the intention
