Jay- Z has been holding it down for 16 summers. This is nothing new, but summer 2012 was still remarkable for someone this far along in his career. Hov threw one of the dopest events of the season, the Made in America Festival, which featured performances by Drake, Rick Ross, G.O.O.D. Music, Jay Electronica, and even had Jay rocking out with Pearl Jam for “99 Problems."

Jay also gained some new sponsors, showing up in Duracell and Budweiser ads, and he sold out eight concerts for the opening of the Brooklyn Barclays’ Center. He even helped design the logo for the Nets and persuaded the NBA to approve the unorthodox all black uniforms. Then he jumped on this little track called “Clique.”

Another year, another hot summer for Jay-Z.
