Doug E. Fresh produced the single “Check It Out” off Doin’ What I Gotta Do, which sampled the whistling from Otis Redding’s “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of The Bay.” While De La Soul chopped the whistling sample and used it throughout their “Eye Know” single, Doug E. Fresh finished off his track with the whistling much like Redding did on the original.
