The Original Album Title Was Sheep

For a while, the band wanted to name the album Sheep. It was going to be a reference to people who bought the record. Cobain supposedly designed a fake advertisement for the album in his notebook which read, "Because you want to not; because everyone else is." Considering that the album has sold over 30 million copies since its release in the ‘90s, we’re all sheep.
