After years of work with Playaz Circle, guest features, and solo mixtapes, 2 Chainz is finally getting ready to release a full-length album of his own. The first studio album from the artist formerly known as Tity Boi is due out August 14 via Def Jam. Based on a T.R.U. Story features guest spots from such hip-hop superstars as Drake, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, The-Dream, The Weeknd, and Chris Brown.
Now 2 Chainz has unveiled the commercial for his debut album. In the clip, a camera pans across the chains from the album cover while the Kanye-featured single “Birthday Song” plays. Take a look at the promo above.
