America’s first Idol busted out quite an unlikely cover at a concert this weekend. While performing at Detroit’s DTE Energy Music Theatre on Friday night, Kelly Clarkson pulled up her hood and paid tribute to local boy Eminem.
Doing her best impression of Eminem’s Detroit accent and trying not to lose her breath, Clarkson performed her version of the Academy Award-winning “Lose Yourself” from 2002’s 8 Mile soundtrack. Watch footage of Clarkson going “from Texas to thug” above.
