Busta Rhymes did an impromptu performance with Fabolous last weekend at Angie Martinez’ Backyard BBQ. She would later invite him on air at Hot 97 to chop it up about his new free album, Year Of the Dragon, and his thoughts on Lil Wayne’s comments about New York.
Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but Busta showed that he’s got Weezy’s back. He argues that Wayne has gone through a lot in NYC and relates his own experiences at a concert in El Paso that didn’t end so well. He continues to say that being “an human and an artist” allows for true emotions to be sometimes unapologetic. Watch the rest of the interview above.
