The ever-bizarre Animal Collective truly outdid itself this time. The Baltimore neo-psych quartet has unveiled a bizarre new music video for “Today’s Supernatural.” Directed by Danny Perez, the Burning Man-esque clip finds frontman Avey Tare dressed as a clown, driving around the desert inside a giant piñata while being attacked by disembodied arms.
“Today’s Supernatural” comes from Animal Collective’s highly anticipated ninth album, Centipede Hz. The double-disc new record officially hits stores September 4 via Domino, but the whole thing will air this Sunday, August 19, during the newest episode of Animal Collective Radio, which starts at 9pm Eastern. In the meantime check out the “Today’s Supernatural” music video above.
