London’s The xx recently announced plans for a special performance next month alongside the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. As part of the ongoing "BBC Philharmonic Presents…" series, the trio will join the classical musicians for an eclectic night of music. The performances will include songs from the band’s debut self-titled album, its forthcoming sophomore album and new arrangements created just for the show.

The whole thing takes place at Bridlington Resort in East Yorkshire, England on September 19. Tickets for the event are free and the whole thing will be broadcast live by Zane Lowe on Radio 1. The xx’s highly anticipated new album Coexist, is due out September 10 via Young Turks.
