Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard goes solo today with “Teardrop Windows.” The new single hails from Former Lives, Gibbard’s debut solo full-length, coming this fall.
On the new track, which is reportedly inspired by Seattle’s Smith Tower, Gibbard returns to the comparatively folk-heavy songs of Home Volume V, his 2003 split with the American Analog Set’s Andrew Kenny. Listen to “Teardrop Windows” below and pick up Former Lives October 16 via Barsuk.
