While there weren't many huge drops, this past week still brought with it some dope new cuts from some hip-hop stalwarts. For one, Talib Kweli offered another strong sampling of his forthcoming mixtape with DJ Z-Trip while DJ Scream showed love to the late Pimp C with some help from three Southern heavyweights. DJ Scream f/ Rick Ross, Slim Thug & Bun B "Cassette Deck"

"Cassette Deck" is the latest single off DJ Scream's proper full-length debut album, Long Live The Hustle, which drops later this year. But beyond that, the track serves as a ridin'-around anthem dedicated to the late Pimp C, whose UGK brother Bun B makes an appearance here along with Rick Ross and Slim Thug.

Skeme f/ Schoolboy Q "Kidz With Gunz"

California residents Skeme and ScHoolboy Q made some noise this past week by collaborating on the latest single off the former's upcoming Alive & Living release. "Kidz With Gunz" is a nu-gangster rap anthem filled with tough lyrics, intense deliveries, and a stomping beat. 

Talib Kweli f/ Jessica Care Moore "Fly Away"

Talib Kweli returned with another winner off his upcoming Attack The Block mixtape this week in "Fly Away." It boasts a choice Tracy Chapman sample, introspective lyrics from the BK MC, and even a stirring closing spoken-word piece from renowned poet Jessica Care Moore.
