The best songs of the week list returns. The past seven days have brought some impressive tunes, particularly in the realm of R&B/soul. Both newcomer Bago and mainstay Jesse Boykins III displayed their vocals chops and strong songwriting talents over smooth production from Alexander Spit and Zodiac, respectively. There were some choice hip-hop outings, too, so start browsing now to catch up on the week's best songs.

Dominic Lord "Old English"

Designer-turned-rapper Dominic Lord is gearing up to release his Fashion Show EP on September 7. But before he does, he's sharing a menacing preview cut in "Old English," which further showcases that this kid has a killer ear for beats.

Roc Marciano "76"

"76" isn't just another gully (and great) track from Long Island rapper-producer Roc Marciano. It also arrived with the announcement that his much anticipated Reloaded album has a proper release date: November 13.

Zodiac f/ Jesse Boykins III "Come"

Apparently his publicized feud with alleged collaborator the Weeknd hasn’t stopped Jeremy Rose (a.k.a. Zodiac) from laying down some smooth tracks. On “Come,” Rose joins forces Jesse Boykins III to infuse that spacey Weeknd sound with good old-fashioned R&B crooning.

Common "No Sell Out"

Common's "No Sell Out" is a raw track that, for whatever reason, didn't make the cut for his latest album, The Dreamer/The Believer. Like every other cut on that record, this too is produced by No I.D., who uploaded "No Sell Out" with the hint that there will be more unreleased Com songs to come. If they all sound as good as this track, we'll be looking forward to the rest.

Bago "Bath Salts"

Bago’s new Alexander Spit-produced Sunday’s Best mixtape is chock full of dreamy electrosoul jams but “Bath Salts” takes the cake. The album opener is one intense, sultry four minutes from the promising California songstress.
