50 Unreleased Albums We'd Kill To Hear

27. Nas and AZ The Essence

Planned Release Date: N/A

Reason It Was Shelved: Since AZ appeared on Nas' Illmatic in 1994 on "Life's A Bitch," fans have been waiting on a collab between the two. In 2002, AZ released Aziatic which featured Nas on the grammy-nominated "The Essence" track. Nearly 10 years later, fans are still waiting on a collab album. During a 1999 interview with Rap Radar, Nas says the collab would need things to "really be in place" and emphasized the difficulties of bringing two rappers together as their individuals processes can be challenging. He went on to say he was ready 10 years ago during The Firm era to record a collab album and that was "really the time" to do it. "So if it happens in the future, man, that’s all good," Nas says.

Why We'd Kill To Hear It: Who wouldn't want to hear the classic duo do it one more time? It's not 1995 anymore but both are still dope emcees with miles left in the tank.
