Losing his mother and breaking up with his fiance put Kanye in a pretty bad place in 2008. So not even a year after releasing his Graduation album, he got to work on another, this time opting to sing with Auto-Tune as an aid. The result was a sullen, lonely-hearted effort soaked with regrets and pain. Some may question the project's quality, but the passion and heart behind it makes this album a beloved work of art.
