Video: Lil Wayne Says "I Am Not A Human Being II" Will Not Be Rushed

Weezy is taking his time.

When Lil Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being dropped in September 2010, it debuted at number two on the Billboard charts. Even during Wayne’s incarceration at Rikers Island, his fans still showed some love. The single “Right Above It” featuring Drake topped the charts, and Weezy’s ready to do it again when he drops I Am Not A Human Being II.

In an interview with MTV News at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash on June 16, he reveals that a major difference with this project is it won’t be rushed. Since Weezy isn’t going to be on an “eight-month vacation” this time around, he paid special attention to crafting the record.

I Am Not A Human Being II, that's what I'm workin' on right now, actually I'm finished. The difference between [this] album and the last I Am Not a Human Being would be the music wasn't rushed," he said. "Last time the music was rushed because I had to take that eight-month vacation on that island so we had rushed the music, but this time we didn't rush the music."

The album’s first single, “My Homies Still,” features Big Sean and is a solid taste of what’s to come. Although there’s no release date, the Young Money boss will put together another classic.

“I paid attention to everything I did," he said. "You're getting the quality of all my albums: Tha Carter IV, Tha Carter III, the same with this I Am Not A Human Being II. Hope you like it."
