Usher may have a stalker on his hands. According to TMZ, a delusional woman is following him and claiming to be married to the pop star.
In order to save himself from any danger, Usher obtained a temporary restraining order against 26-year-old Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw. She is listed as 5’ 2” and weighs between 140 and 180 pounds.
The court documents say that Jones-Rakestraw was lurking around Usher’s home. When police authorities told her to leave, she went home, but not for long. She returned the next day and tried to convince police that she was Usher’s wife and had misplaced her keys. They didn’t believe her statement and placed her under arrest.
Usher’s hopes to make the restraining order more permanent saying that she “placed [him] in reasonable fear for his own safety and/or the safety of his immediate family."
To try and clear her name, she posted a YouTube video on Wednesday claiming that Usher has been sending her money, promising to make living arrangements and believing he would help with her music career. "I'm not a stalker ... [Usher] has officially slandered me and defamed my character,” she said in the video.
Jones-Rakestraw plans on moving forward with defemnation charges against Usher soon.
