The One of a Kind Music Access bus, presented by Dr Pepper, made its latest stop in Asbury Park, New Jersey. While to some this little shore town might seem like a random place to weigh anchor, others will know Asbury Park instantly as the place where Bruce Springsteen got his start, and still shows up to jam at the Stone Pony.
Complex's Ross Scarano caught up with a band whose music, while very different from Springsteen's, has the same sort of anything goes attitude that you hear in early Bruce. Mariachi El Bronx is a punk mariachi band, who do their musical mash-up act in full mariachi outfits. As the boys say, when you've got all that gear on, sometimes you just need a cold Dr Pepper to beat the heat; hey, it's a one of a kind drink for a one of a kind band.
