While Usher is dropping his new album, Looking 4 Myself, very soon, the R&B singer is about to prepare for a major movie role.

Usher confirms to BBC News that he will play Sugar Ray Leonard in an upcoming boxing film called Hands Of Stone. The film follows the career of  Panamanian boxer Robert Duran. It is set to being filming later this year and will also star Robert De Niro and Gael García Bernal.

"I'm in preparation for a very incredible role," Usher said to BBC News. "If you guys see me running around London that's what it is. If you see me in the corners boxing. I'm doing that while working on this album."

He also said that De Niro will play legendary boxing trainer Ray Arcell, who coached 18 world champions including Duran.

Leonard officially retired in 1997 from boxing after numerous comebacks. During his career, he was a world champion in five different weight classes.
