After President Obama’s recent support of same-sex marriage, rappers like Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Nicki Minaj have backed up his stance. While many have criticized Obama for asserting that states should work toward regulating gay marriage, T.I. has openly showed his full support.

In an interview with Hot 97, the Grand Hustle leader explained that he doesn’t necessarily have a position or understands why there is so much concern against the issue. He continued on to say if same-sex marriage doesn’t affect you, then it shouldn’t make a difference.

“To be absolutely honest with you, I don't care," T.I. said. “I don't see what the big deal is, why some people are so against it. Why would you be so against it if it doesn't affect you or your lifestyle? I'm not in that world and it doesn't affect me if they did or didn't [get married]. I don't care enough one way or another. If something doesn't affect you, you should not take a strong position against it."
