"Ditty" hit #10 on the Hot 100, went Platinum and was also nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance in 1994. Which is just to say, it was a smash record. But Paperboy, the LA-bred MC behind the song could never outdo himself. His solo debut, The Nine Yards, went Gold, but its follow-up effort, The Love Never Dies, underwhelmed, and Paperboy seemingly disappeared.
