The original rager wasn't Kid Cudi or Machine Gun Kelly. In fact, it was MC Brains, a protege of Michael Bivins, who released his debut single, "Oochie Coochie," in 1991. Perhaps because it sounded like a Bel Biv Devoe song, it blew up and shot to #1 on the Rap Singles chart. But Brains' debut LP, Lover's Lane, failed to sell, and Motown quickly dropped him.
