Earlier this week, T.I. announced on the season finale of Hip-Hop POV that “Iggy is a free agent.” This statement confused a lot of her fans, who are unsure whether IggyAzalea is still in good terms with Grand Hustle.
The Aussie rapper signed a recording deal with Interscope in January. Two months later, she announced that she also signed a deal with Tip’s Grand Hustle imprint. Since Grand Hustle is on Atlantic Records, it may have sparked a conflict of interest for Iggy to be signed to both camps, which probably caused Tip to say she is still up for grabs.
XXL was able to catch up with Iggy moments after her first proper New York show at S.O.B.’s (May 7). Iggy was able to set the record straight about the rumors. Apparently, she is still managed by Interscope Management and not in any hurry to sign with anyone. However, she is possibly considering Atlantic as her permanent new label home.
