He brought a new energy to R&B, and with a dark, introverted, and self-destructive approach to creation, he's become one of music's most exciting new acts. Still, after three albums, co-signs from some of the industry's biggest players, and a rapidly rising demand, Abel Tesfaye has managed to keep pretty private.
