After drawing some heavy criticism, the Burger King commercial featuring Mary J. Blige has been pulled. The ad showed Mary belting out a soulful song about the new crispy chicken wrap, and as soon as it hit the Internet, people started slamming the singer for taking part in it. Some brought up racial issues, others thought it was just in bad taste, and many wondered how much money it must have taken to get Mary to stoop to this level.

Burger King has insisted that the advertisement has been pulled because of licensing issues and not because of the backlash. They plan to get the commercial back on the air soon. The new Burger King ad campaign will also feature high profile celebrities like Selma Hayak, David Beckham, and Jay Leno. Mary and her reps haven't commented on the situation.
