We’ve been playing A$AP Rocky’s “Goldie” here at the office non-stop. By now, you know Hit-Boy produced the single and it was geared towards the clubs. But most of us are unfamiliar with why A$AP decided to jump on a faster beat than his usual slow-downed selections. In an interview with Life + Times, he talks about the concept behind the single. Needless to say, Pretty Flacko looks like he’s heading in the right direction for his debut, LongLiveA$AP.
For me, "Goldie" is just a new aspect of my capabilities like most people aren’t used to me really rapping at a fast pace. But this time, we managed to show them the diversity of what we can do. And basically, all this song is a beginning of showcasing the multiple flows invested in me by God.
