Rumblings of a new album from Brooklyn experimental-pop outfit Dirty Projectors have been circulating the web over the past six months or so. But no one really knew where the group was going musically or when we would even be hearing anything new.
That changed this evening out of the blue when the band uploaded a brand-new song, "Gun Has No Trigger." It's much darker lyrically than what you might expect from Dirty Projectors, though the off-kilter songwriter remains intact.
Also, it's pretty rad to hear frontman David Longstreth control the microphone for the entire track, especially because his vocals are sounding stronger. You can stream the track below.
