We reported earlier this month that EMI was suing Cash Money Records over unpaid royalties stemming from samples used on Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III. But now, just eight days later, it's been revealed that the two labels have reached a settlement agreement. Billboard.biz reports that they released a joint statement indicating the following:

Cash Money Records and EMI Music Publishing have amicably settled EMI's recent lawsuit and their financial disputes on various record releases. The companies look forward to working together on future projects."
