For the past 3 months some of America’s hottest DJ talent has been competing online at FlavorBattle.com for the opportunity to represent their region at the 2012 McDonald’s Flavor Battle Finale.

Flavor Battle is part of McDonald's 365 Black initiative for supporting hip-hop culture and the future stars of the industry. This year's Flavor Battle was hosted by beatbox legend, Doug E. Fresh and held at Cameo Theatre in Miami Beach on Thursday, February 9, 2012.

The top three DJs from across the country with the most votes advanced to the final finale event to see who had the most flavor! Each DJ represents one of McDonald’s iconic burgers and battled it to win the ten thousand dollar grand prize and ultimate bragging rights!

DJ Alizay from Washington, D.C., representing the Angus Third Pounder.

DJ E-V from Cleveland, Ohio, representing the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese.

DJ Risk One from San Francisco, California, representing the Big Mac.

Celebrity judge panel consisted of some of the most legendary DJs in the industry: Spinderella, Miami’s own DJ Irie, DJ Skribble and last year’s Flavor Battle winner DJ JayCeeOh.

Singer-songwriter, and actress, Teyana Taylor was the Twitter host for the evening. Tenyana stayed connected to the folks on Twitter, keeping them in-the-know with the #FlavorBattle hashtag.

After three intense rounds of killer mixes, DJ Risk One took home the 2012 Flavor Battle Championship and the $10,000 grand prize! Congrats!

Guests enjoyed burgers by McDonald's and beverages by Coca-Cola. And a special performance by Doug E. Fresh and Vicious.
