The Earl Sweatshirt saga has been one wild ride. Last year, amidst his absence from Odd Future and rumors of his whereabouts, we confirmed that the teen rapper was at a therapeutic program in Samoa. Since then, we've spoken with one of his Coral Reef Academy associates, but we've also been trolled by OFWGKTA members who pranked the Internet with talk of his return.

Now, with the emergence of an @earlxsweat Twitter account and a new YouTube video, it looks like Thebe Kgositsile is back, and for real this time. Here's what Tyler, The Creator and Hodgy Beats have to say.

Oh. Thebe Has....I Mean Earl Has A Twitter. @earlxsweat
nowadays people have personal intentions tryna use my nigga earl. We family nigga. Earl isn't free. Fuck fabrication. OFWGKTA #freeearl

Despite these opposing accounts, this tweet from Odd Future manager Christian Clancy makes us believe that Earl is really back. What do you think? Watch the video below (which features a snippet of a new song "Thanks James") and decide for yourself. Apparently, he's going to release the full song when he hits 50,000 followers.

It'll be cool if this is legit, but we won't be surprised if it isn't. We'll find out soon enough.
