While she is not yet a household name, Marsha Ambrosius has been around for a minute. She was one-half of the pioneering hip-hop/spoken word duo Floetry, and has turned up on singles from Nas, Busta Rhymes, Wale, and many more.

Ambrosius has at different points been signed to Dreamworks Records, Aftermath Entertainment, and J Records—so why do we just now feel like we’re getting to know her? Well, it definitely has something to do with the 2011 release of her acclaimed solo album Late Nights & Early Mornings, which features the twice Grammy–nominated song “Far Away” (another track featuring Busta Rhymes). Get reacquainted with the undeniably unique sound of Marsha Ambrosius here.
