Early reports made it sound like Jay-Z and Beyoncé received royal treatment at the hospital where Beyoncé gave birth. The stories claimed that the superstar couple rented out an entire floor of the hospital for over a million dollars and hired security to protect their space, enraging others in the facility who felt like they weren't being given the proper attention. Lenox Hill Hospital spokesperson Frank Danza told MTV he was "troubled by the misinformation," and he released a statement.

The hospital's statement:

"The suggestion that the couple paid $1.3 million to rent an entire maternity floor is simply not true. The family is housed in an executive suite at the hospital and is being billed the standard rate for those accommodations," Danza said in the statement. "Our executive suites are available for any patient, including the food service and amenities provided to the Carter family.

In other news, Jay and Beyoncé have released an official statement via Beyoncé's blog. Despite all the gossip, rumor-spreading, and attention, they sound calm, happy, and thankful.

Joint statement from Beyoncé and Jay-Z:

Hello Hello Baby Blue!
