The 2012 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame class has been chosen and it includes the Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N' Roses, The Small Faces/The Faces, Donovan, Freddie King, and others. Among those that didn't make the cut are The Cure and Eric B. & Rakim. For the full list, head over to the official site.

RHCP's Anthony Kiedis told Rolling Stone that when he heard the news, he called his father and cried. He explained, "It really fills my heart with the reality of how much we love doing what we do, and how much Flea and I love each other. We have stuck together through thick and thin and we want to keep on trucking and continuing to do what it is we do."

The Beastie Boys join Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five and Run DMC in the small but growing list of hip-hop acts to be inducted. The ceremony will take place on April 14 at Cleveland's Public Hall. It will be on HBO in May.
