Previous singles from Katy Perry's album Teenage Dream have been more cheerful and happy, but she does a complete 180 for her newest video "The One That Got Away," set to debut next Friday.

The trailer for the video shows Katy reminicing on plenty of memories with her former lover, narrating for a bit with sad quotes like "The past is like a handful of dust. It filters through your fingers disappearing little by little" and "I wish for one day I could go back. In another life, I would do things differently."

Sounds like something emo females will gravitate towards, but in the wise words of a rapper named Jay-Z, "You gotta learn to live with regrets" Mrs. Perry.
