Best Line: “No disrespect, but you niggas need lotion, man. You need motherfucking lotion. You ashy-ass, motherfucking hating-ass, motherfucking nasty-mouth. Fucking eat a piece a gum.”
Complex says: Back in early 2010, Jay Elec was a free agent whose buzz had skyrocketed after dropping the critically acclaimed “Exhibit C” in December ‘09. On "Exhibit C," Just Blaze did a rant of his own that was an obvious ode to Diddy (he even noted, "We need to get Puff to do this over.")
Puff took a liking to Jay Elec, and as a result of their friendship “The Ghost Of Christopher Wallace” was released in April. At the time, many speculated that Diddy and Jay Elec were planning to enter a business agreement together. During the song Diddy’s rant includes, “We only work with the great ones, baby,” seemingly brandishing Electronica as the newest addition of the Bad Boy Family.
But Diddy’s excitement was short lived. In November of that year, Electronica was announced as an official member of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label. This rendered one of Diddy’s greatest rants just a product of premature excitement. Diddy’s response? A simple, if sad, tweet many assumed to be directed at Electronica: “Damn it hurts in a whole other way when someone you felt and I mean really felt was your Friend, Betrays you. Hurts when breathe.”
