Lloyd Banks has a crowd-pleaser with this one. The Cold Corner 2 sticks to that now-vintage New York rap script that we've come to expect from Banks, but there's also a subtle freshness injected into it. He's still got the grimy beats and tough, no-nonsense delivery, but some of the production takes less straightforward approach, and with only a few features, it's interesting that he chose ASAP Rocky to be one of them.
Banks is keeping up with the times, but he's doing so on his own terms. Instead of hopping on all the new trends, he's bringing some of those styles into his world. It makes this tape sound like a natural progression, and it's probably one of the reasons that The Cold Corner 2 getting such a positive response. Check it out below.
