Going into this album, it's impossible to know what to expect, no matter what kind of warning you get. David Lynch, the director behind movies like Eraserhead, The Elephant Man, Twin Peaks, and Mulholland Drive is a man who isn't afraid to explore his widlest visions. When these surrealist concepts take a musical form, the result is worthy of the title Crazy Clown Dream.
The experimental album plays out like a bout of schizophrenia, weaving in and out of bluesy guitars, jazz influence, electronic beats, and robotic voices. It's not going to be an album that everyone can agree on, but if you're looking for something a little different, head over to NPR and give it a listen.
