Amy Winehouse's Posthumous Album Coming in December

Unreleased music, covers, and alternate versions will make up the project.

Before Amy Winehousetragically died in July, she had been working on new material for her third album. According to many sources close to Amy, the album was almost ready to go. Although she never had the chance to put the final touches on her new songs, fans will now be able to hear some unheard music on her posthumous album Lioness: Hidden Treasures, scheduled to be released on December 5.

The album contains 12 songs compiled by producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, both collaborators and friends to Winehouse. They've hand-picked songs recorded at various times throughout Amy's career, including the Tony Bennett duet "Body and Soul," covers of songs by Donny Hathaway and the Shirelles, and alternate versions of previously released songs like "Valerie."
