Music executive-turned-author Steve Stoute is releasing his first book "The Tanning of America: How the Culture of Hip-Hop Rewrote the Rules of the New Economy" later this week and the business man and founder of the branding firm Translation, LLC has developed a web series titled "The Tanning Effect" to coincide with his new book. In this exclusive trailer Stoute sits down with close friends Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, and Jimmy Iovine to discuss race and cultural relations. Watch the short preview clip here.
