Best line: “Everybody wanted to know what I would do if I didn’t win...I guess, we’ll never know.”

Complex says: When a near-fatal car accident in October of 2002 forced Kanye to re-examine his life, he bounced back better than ever and began his ascent to the top of the rap game. When he won the Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2005, he took the time to reflect on how the accident had changed the way he approached making music.

Kanye gave an emotional, heartfelt speech in acceptance and it was one of his most gracious moments. After being snubbed at previous award shows, Kanye already had a reputation for wilding out backstage when he didn't win (something he later touched on in "Diamonds fom Sierra Leone") but his closing statement—an instant quoteable that earned him a standing ovation—summed up his feelings nicely. Grammy night? Damn right we got dressed up.
