The 100 Best Wu-Tang Clan Songs

84. Ghostface Killah f/ Method Man, Raekwon, & Superb "Flowers" (Original Version) (2001)

Producer: RZA
Album: Bulletproof Wallets
Label: Epic

For some reason, this version of "Flowers" was replaced by what some consider the weaker re-working that appears on the album. Both cuts are musically based off of "Take Me to the Mardi Gras" by Bob James, yet this earlier effort resonates with deeper and richer vibes. Superb, sounding like a weird distant cousin of Ghost, wins with his short number of bars, kicking, "I'm not a gangster and I hate thugs too/I'm just a nigga that paints a picture without a paintbrush, too."
