Word is, Outkast members Big Boi and Andre 3000 are both at work on solo LPs, due out before the end of 2011. In Big Boi's chat with Junior Online, he confirms half the rumor with details about his forthcoming album, tentatively titled Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader.

The Atlanta native revealed that he's 17 songs into Daddy Fat Sax and could release it tomorrow if he wanted to. "I’mma marinate on it because I’m on the road. I feel good about it, all the music’s sounding great."

Sir Lucious Leftfoot also touched on the overall sound of the album, saying that it would be "S-A-X-X-X triple unadulterated funk to the extremest level." He also went on to say, "Straight lyrical assassin, and the beats are going to be as hard hitting as always. I’mma let everything else be a surprise, and just let it speak for itself."

Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader is expected to be released in the latter half of the year and will feature protégée Janelle Monáe. Be on the lookout for that, and hopefully a new Outkast album sometime in 2012.
