It may seem like an odd combination, but with her crazy outfits, split personalities, cartoonish voices, and wild facial expressions, something about this makes sense. Nicki Minaj recently told Entertainment Weekly that she wants to get into acting, mentioning that she'd particularly like to work with Will Smith and Tim Burton.
“I want to work with Will Smith, because he’s a very successful rapper turned actor and therefore a role model, and Tim Burton because I love his crazy imagination. He comes up with these characters that are just so fascinating and the costumes and just creates these whole worlds.”
Nicki explained that she went to school for acting and it's always been a long term goal of hers. After she's wrapped up her upcoming tour with Britney Spears, Ms. Minaj plans to focus more on her big-screen ambitions. If her role in the "Monster" video is any indication of her skills, she might have a bright future outside of music.
