Hip-hop has an obsession with Beyoncé Knowles. It's not hard to see why: she's got a ton of No. 1 hits, was the highest earning singer in 2010, the first female artist with the most Grammy Award (six) wins in a single night, a top-billed actress, AskMen’s “Most Desirable Woman of the Decade,” and did we mention, as Jigga so succinently put it on "Public Service Announcement," she's the "hottest chick in the game?" It all makes perfect sense as to why rap's biggest names are constantly namedropping the R&B megastar.

With the release of her fourth studio album, 4, in stores today, check out 15 Beyoncé Lyrical References.

Jay-Z "All Around The World"

Not Available Interstitial

Jay-Z f/ LaToiya Williams “All Around The World” (2002)

Lyrics: “Said it's all love, Shore Club, M-I-A/Party at Bungalow 8, when I stay/Pool look like a hundred Beyoncé's/A couple fiances, I'm the new DeVante.”

Complex says: The king of wordplay and the double entendre gives us a mental image of what a pool full of dimes and wifeys looks like. In this case, his missus. He's also got the swag of that cat from Jodeci.

Lil Wayne f/ Mannie Fresh "Get Something"

Not Available Interstitial

Lil Wayne f/ Mannie Fresh “Get Something” (2003)

Lyrics: “Baby girl shake it like Beyoncé/I done forgot about Beyoncé, blowin' smoke up in the air.”

Complex says: This one comes from Mannie Fresh's hook on Lil Wayne's 2003 single, "Get Something." Real shit though, no other chick out there can shake it like her. Feel us?

The Game f/ Kanye West “Wouldn't Get Far”

Not Available Interstitial

The Game f/ Kanye West “Wouldn't Get Far” (2005)

Lyrics: “And ain't nobody tryin' to take Beyoncé from Jay/But I know a bitch named Superhead he fucked back in the day.”

Complex says: When isn't Jayceon namedropping someone in his verses? On the Kanye West-assisted single off his second album, Doctor's Advocate, he acknowledges that while Hov is laying his game down quite flat, at one time he wasn't above scrapping a video chick that the whole industry ran through.

Cam'ron "You Gotta Love It"

Not Available Interstitial

Cam'ron f/ Max B “You Gotta Love It” (2006)

Lyrics: “Down in Houston ask B I'ma mack forreal/Heck you tell me, respect, better dwell me/Beyoncé fiance, check my second LP.”

Complex says: Killa went directly at the head of Jay-Z reminding him that "B"—who is a Houston native—sang the hook for “Do It Again,” off his second album, S.D.E. (Sports, Drugs & Entertainment). Jay would later respond to the diss on “Dig A Hole” with the ultimate subliminal. Got 'em.

Eminem “No Apologies”

Not Available Interstitial

Eminem “No Apologies” (2006)

Lyrics: “I am not failing, you fuckers are not ready/'Cause I got jelly, like [Beyoncé]'s pot belly/This is destiny.”

Complex says: Sorry, Marshall, but Beyoncé doesn't quite have a pot belly. And although Bey's name was actually censored on the album version of Eminem Presents: The Re-Up, it was evident he was indeed referring to her by following up with the "This is destiny" line.

Kanye West "Throw Some D's (Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Kanye West “Throw Some D's (Remix)” (2007)

Lyrics: “Get you a cute chick, face got potential/Working with her little hips, waist like a pencil/Know how niggas play you, but you know how 'Ye do/Says she love Beyoncé, let me upgrade you.”

Complex says: Kanye's take on Rich Boy's 2007 banger "Throw Some D's" was hilarious. Rich may have had Dayton rims on his mind, but 'Ye was more concerned with upgrading his chick's cup size.

Lil Wayne "Comfortable"

Not Available Interstitial

Lil Wayne f/ Babyface “Comfortable” (2008)

Lyrics: “To the left, to the left/If you wanna leave, be my guest you can step/Feeling irreplaceable listening to Beyoncé/Well okay I put you out on your b-day.”

Complex says: Probably one of the nicest bars from Weezy's Tha Carter III. He plays on Beyoncé's female anthem "Irreplaceable" with a slick comeback and in the same line references her second solo album, B'Day, released on Bey's birthday in 2006.

50 Cent "Follow My Lead"

Not Available Interstitial

50 Cent f/ Robin Thicke “Follow My Lead” (2008)

Lyrics: “I wanna spend the night tonight shorty if it's okay/You can be my Beyoncé, I'll be your Jay.”

Complex says: How cute. After all the sneak disses and subliminals 50 Cent has thrown Jay-Z over the years, he tosses the power couple a shout out.

Kanye West "Everything I Am"

Not Available Interstitial

Kanye West “Everything I Am” (2008)

Lyrics: “I'll never be picture perfect Beyoncé/Be light as Al B., or black as Chaun-cey.”

Complex says: If this isn't picture perfect, then we don't know what is.

J. Cole "I Really Mean It (Freestyle)"

Not Available Interstitial

J. Cole “I Really Mean It (Freestyle)” (2009)

Lyrics: “I'm busting like many pimples on the temple/Go hard like I just seen some nipples on Beyoncé/No disrespect to Hov but if I didn't I'd be beyond gay.”

Complex says: Ah, the good ol' nip slip. Something that never gets old to us when it happens to Beyoncé. We don't blame Jermaine for going hard (pause) at the thought. Hell, Jay probably wasn't even mad at this line.

Fabolous "For The Money"

Not Available Interstitial

Fabolous f/ Nicki Minaj “For The Money” (2010)

Lyrics: “Only if you gold, I never do the bronze/'Cause if you could have Beyoncé, would you take Solange?”

Complex says: Given Solange's wild side, who says you couldn't have both?

Kanye West "Don't Look Down (The Phoenix Story)"

Not Available Interstitial

Kanye West f/ Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco & Big Sean “Don't Look Down (The Phoenix Story)” (2010)

Lyrics: “We pulled up to the valet, we'll teach our daughter ballet/We'll raise us a Beyoncé, maybe she'll be a Halle.” — Kanye West

Complex says: Who doesn't want to raise their daughter to be a talented, unique, and successful young woman like Beyoncé? That's when you're really winning.

Flo Rida "Turn Around (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)"

Not Available Interstitial

Flo Rida “Turn Around” (2010)

Lyrics: “Okay, what'cha say?/Let's play/Shake it with a little bit of Beyoncé.”

Complex says: This is about as lyrical as Flo Rida gets, but you can't go wrong with telling girls to shake it like B, so we're cool with it.

Kanye West & Jay-Z “That's My Bitch”

Not Available Interstitial

Kanye West & Jay-Z f/ Elly Jackson (of La Roux) “That's My Bitch” (2010)

Lyrics: “Back to my Beyoncé's/You deserve three stacks, word to Andre.” - Jay-Z

Complex says: Another one of Jay's genius double triple entendres. He shouts out his boo-boo on this leaked, unfinished record from the Watch The Throne sessions and tells us that pretty icons don't always have to be white. "Three stacks" is clearly a reference to Andre 3000, but Hov may also be referring to Andre Champagne. To make this one even more intricate, since Jay was mentioning paintings in the verse, he could be talking about French painter and sculptor André Derain, whose paintings today sell for as much as $6 million USD. He doesn't call himself the "Monster of the Double Entendre" for nothing.

Big Sean f/ Chris Brown “My Last”

Not Available Interstitial

Big Sean f/ Chris Brown “My Last” (2011)

Lyrics: “See you look like Beyoncé so do it like Beyon../Do it, do it like Beyoncé and put it on Sean.”

Complex says: Playing on the fact that Mrs. Knowles' husband is also named Shawn was too easy for Big Sean to pass up.
